Status Update

Hello all,

We have not forgotten about you. I can assure you that at some point all of the new features here at SPLRA will be out, but some may be omitted. The main feature up on the chopping block is the bootlist. I cannot really see a reason to have this now that the Pumpkins are part of the LMA. Since the bootlist feature will be removed there is really no reason to have a user system either (such as private messages). If people want to communicate then they can and will use netphoria. The forums will be gone too. I have said this before, the forums were more of a way to get a user system added to SPLRA. I never intended the forums to take off. Once again, there is Netphoria for all of your forum needs. Most everything else will remain intact that I have been saying would appear. The work that I have left to do on SPLRA is very small, but I cannot find the time right now to work on it. Maybe a few $$ would help me find the time. After all, we did just pay for hosting out of our pockets this year.

HTML and CSS position filled
Posted by Frank Claycomb on: 06-18-2007

Hello all,

The html and css position have been filled. Over the next few weeks he and I will start working to move over all of the new features that I have coded the back end for. Quite frankly I cannot justify taking the time to write html when there is so much work that needs to be done in php. Thanks to all that have shown interest but I have chose Will Lynn.

At any rate, be on the lookout for new features coming soon.

-Frank

SPLRA is looking for a talented html and css developer
Posted by Frank Claycomb on: 05-22-2007

Hello,

For all of you that have wanted to join SPLRA in the past, we are now looking to fill a position. As you may have noticed not much work has been done on the website recently, this is because I do not like writing html when I could be developing code to drive the site and have only a basic proficiency in css. So we here at SPLRA are now opening up a position of an html and css developer. You will work closely with me and have access to the SPLRA svn and development server. You will also get a SPLRA email address. We would prefer if you have some form of im server that you can be reached on as well as a phone number that we could contact you with if we needed to convey ourselves in a way that is too hard over the internet. A knowledge of svn isn't required for this position as there are graphical utilities for it.

The main duties will be to clean up existing css (not the live css, but the development css that I have started to clean) as well as clean up existing html. All html is in php files but kept very separated (at least in most cases). Other jobs will be to make html forms as well as pages for new features that I have coded but didn't write the html front for.

If you think that you have what it takes please feel free to email me at frank_at_splra(dot)org.
