' This show was a surprise performance opening for local Atlanta band Drivin' 'N' Cryin', as part of their 6th annual "Benefit for the Hopeful" homeless charity concert, which was held each year on the weekend closest to the December 8th anniversary of John Lennon's death. The Pumpkins had just begun recording Siamese Dream, and this show was a one-off to close out the year. They had previously performed two shows upon arriving in Atlanta, on November 30th and December 1st, at The Point. After this show on December 11th, the next performance the band would give would be at the Center Stage, on March 15th, 1993, after recording had completed.
- At this show, the band were using Drivin' 'N' Cryin's instruments, which is why Billy can be heard saying "We have to make Kevin's guitar work", after the opening acoustic/electric hybrid version of Today. Kevn(sic) Kinney was/is DNC's lead vocalist and guitarist, which means that either Billy or James were using his guitar.
- The band's performance is just under 50 minutes, which makes sense given that it was an opening slot. Given that the Pumpkins' appearance was a surprise, the occasion was a benefit for the homeless, and the venue was most likely filled with fans expecting to hear something along the lines of DNC's style of country/rock, it would explain why songs like Silverfuck and Geek USA were not played, and why mellower songs like Suffer (which hadn't been performed at previous shows in Europe) were included alongside some of the more dramatic songs (Luna, Spaceboy, Disarm) from the new album. Apart from Quiet, the set is pretty much angst-free.
