*Of particular note at this show is that Billy gets into a prolonged back and forth with the audience during the middle of Silverfuck. He goes on and on about MTV and his cynicism about things. This is an example of the type of attitude that Corgan started regularly projecting on audiences on this tour. It might occur - I'm sure to most of you this doesn't make any sense so you can ignore me -  but to the other 5% of the idiots in the world, erm, it might occur to you that like maybe we want an opening band and maybe we picked them and maybe we think they're good and you might be nice if you show them the same respect you show us. And if you don't like it, if you don't like it, go buy a drink, go stand in the back, go talk to your friends, go try and get laid but understand it's not easy.. <br>

  • Of particular note at this show is that Billy gets into a prolonged back and forth with the audience during the middle of Silverfuck. He goes on and on about MTV and his cynicism about things. This is an example of the type of attitude that Corgan started regularly projecting on audiences on this tour. He had been experimenting with the "rant" section of "I Am One" during the September gigs in Europe and the UK, and on this tour he now expanded the rant to now include heavy doses of contempt for the audience, which he would display on a nightly basis. This type of "staged" attitude toward the audience would continue all the way through to Lollapalooza

Rocket
Hummer
Soma

[encore break]
Corgan: Hey, yeh I just wanna say one thing, one, one thing, for a change just one thing. I just wanna say hey to the asshole who was bugging Shudder to Think, you are an asshole.
No, it's not easy and we're in a luxury postion now we don't have to deal with that as much as we used to and I understand what it's like cos when we came here and opened for the Chili Peppers we had the same fuckin' bullshit and it's probably the same fuckin' dude
Iha: And also we'd like to say about Michael Jordan, a tragedy has struck Chicago
Corgan: We're really bummed about Michael Jordan so sorry if we're a little down
Iha: It hurts the everyman, does it hurt you?.. And now we'll rock you
Siva
Cherub Rock

Iha: Can we get a silence for Michael Jordan? Just kidding
Corgan: Thank you
I Am One

Corgan (mid song rant):
All I ever wanted was everything
All I ever wanted was everything
Don't ask the question cos you might get an answer
Cos all I wanted was everything
And there's nothing you can take from me that hasn't already been taken
And there's nothing you can throw at me that hasn't already been thrown at me
And there' nothing you can say about me that hasn't already been said, so..
What you want is what you'll get, nothing
What you want is what you'll get, nothing
Cos when you want something you are less likely to get it
And the more you want it, the less it comes
So all I ever wanted was everythng, oh yeh I know it's a drag
There's nothing in this world for me
There's nothing in this world for me
There's nothing in this world for me
There's nothing in this world for me
And there's nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, no!!!

[encore break]
Corgan: Are you tired?
Audience: No!!!
Corgan: That's good. Hope we got about twenty more minutes. So... hope you like this song
Drown
unknown instrumental
Silverfuck

Corgan: Yeah... that was God bringing you back... yeah, that's all I know...
[crowd heckles]
Man, you're so original I can't believe it, same goes for you
Iha: Oh you badgers, ha, just kidding
Corgan: Don't push me cos I'm close to the edge, I'm 'bout to lose my head
Iha: And he walked on down the hall
Corgan: Well, why continue, huh? Why? Give me one good reason...
[audience applauds]
Corgan: You know that's not a good reason, give me another good reason.. I don't believe in applause, applause y'know is, I don't believe in it, it don't mean shit
Iha: Snap your fingers
[crowd snaps fingers]
Corgan: Now that I believe in
[sings "Bang bang you're dead" part]
Corgan: Yeah everybody's got it all figured out, I understand. I know the jig's up, the game's over, it's OK, I can deal with it
Audience member: Play some disco, man!
Corgan: Why don't you just suck my cock?!?
No, no, as a matter of fact, no thanks. I don't have my ring on but I am married now so that would be.. yeh, I like being married, don't boo, don't boo my marriage... D'arcy wanna join in?
Iha: Any second now we'll be starting that song again you should enjoy
Wretzky: No, I don't.. what did you say?
Iha: I said any second now we'll start that song over and I'm sure you'll enjoy it so..
[Corgan hits guitar effect]
Iha: Yeah hit me again man...
[guitar effect again]
Iha: Yeah I dig that carrot noise, freaks me out, really crazy, makes me wanna dance
Corgan: See it's not about music anymore anyway, I don't know why you want us to play music, it's not about music anyway. Well it's about videos and interviews and...
[boos]
Corgan: Yeah like you've never watched MTV, fuck you, that's bullshit. What are gonna do after the show? Sit around, smoke some weed and watch MTV
Iha: Alright
Corgan: Fuckin' A man..
Iha: I'm telling you
[trying to talk to some audience member]
Corgan: Yeh yeh I understand
Iha; You got it.. he got it
Corgan: Go ahead the world is listening, c'mon...
Iha Play some Van Halen?
Corgan: I can't hear you anymore... See, sometimes it makes more sense to be quiet than it does to be loud. It's not an act of attention, see, now you're all paying attention... I'm not going to listen to you anymore
Iha: Ain't got nothing to say, man
Corgan: Alright, shall I sing the song now?
Iha: Mr. motherfuckin' Jimmy Chamberlin on the motherfuckin' drums
