BC: (mic is off) Thank you so much, thank you, thank you. (mic turned on) Can you hear me? Thank you so much everybody, thank you for coming tonight, thank you for taking time to see us, thank you for listening to our music. Now we have a sorta special surprise, I mean, we let the cat out of the bag but that’s the modern world. We have a reunion tonight. Does anyone know what’s going on? Uh, these gentlemen have not played together for 16 years. You knew them once as Catherine from Chicago. They’re still called Catherine. Not Catherine Wheel - they’re different - and not some screamo band from L.A. That is - that’s not them. This is Chicago’s very own Catherine. Now back in the day, back when we were writing Siamese Dream - or I was writing Siamese Dream.... Somebody was writing Siamese Dream. We shared a practice space together over there on Broadway and Belmont. Over there in the city. Over there in uh....
Guy in crowd: Whorestown!
BC: You said it, not me! Eccentric-town. Where the eccentrics hang out. And uh, did anyone know me when I used to work at the record store? Thank you. One person. And uh, heh heh, so anyway, so uh, I’ve convinced - me, singlehandedly, I’ll take all the credit. No actually, we’ve been talking together and trying to get these guys back together. Think we need a band like Catherine back together. Do we need a band like Catherine back together? I’ll take that as a no, okay, this’ll be the last songs they ever play. Thanks to you. You killed their dreams, just like you’ve killed mine. Heh, just kidding, come on. I couldn’t make these jokes in Milwaukee but Chicago, I can make these jokes. Okay, so give us a second, we’re gonna rock out for you.
Mark Rew: Okay, I’m gonna crap my pants, this is kind of freaky. There’s a lot of you. Thank you so much, Billy, Pumpkins, thank you so much for this opportunity. What a great night. Great night.
Idiot (Catherine w/Billy on guitar)
Whole Lotta Love (tease)
Mark Rew: Like a fine wine...we are not.
Broken Bunny Bird (Catherine w/Billy on guitar)
BC: Catherine, everybody. ... That’s Studio Dog.
Bullet with Butterfly Wings (abandoned before lyrics, Mike keeps drumbeat going)
(BC: Hold on a second. That’s my brother Jesse up there. Jesse, say hi to everybody. My brother Andrew. Okay, wait wait wait. Jesse, where’s your father? Where’s your father? He’s drinkin’, he’s smokin’ weed, what is he doing? Heh heh heh heh. Heh heh. Hahahahaha, T.L. Alright, thank you for such a great night, thank you, honestly, awesome night.)
