- "Back in 1991 I was working at a college radio station. Smashing Pumpkins were playing a few shows while in the midst of recording Gish, and stopped by the station for an interview. At the time they only had a couple 7-inch singles out so nobody (including me) knew who they were. I wound up interviewing James and D'arcy. I recall James telling me this was the first radio interview he'd done, which is kind of a fun fact. In truth, it was the first interview I'd done too.....This isn't a fabulously done interview conducted by a seasoned professional. I was 25 years old and had zero experience interviewing a band, and James and D'arcy had zero experience being interviewed..."
