blues jam
(Billy begins to play a 12-bar blues melody and Jeff improvises over it)
BC: (singing) Big haired mama...big haired [unintelligible word]. Big haired mama, what she gonna do? You are so beautiful, I don’t know what to do. (speaking) We’ll play the blues, Jeff! (Mike joins in for 10 seconds while Nicole claps along, then jam ends)
BC: Thank you very much, on the drums, Mr. Mike Byrne! All the way from England, the bluesman, Jeff Schroeder.
Jeff: (British accent that sounds more Australian) G’day!
BC: (British accent) Two, two, heh heh, one two. (normal) Heh heh.
Jeff: No, that’s from Australia.
BC: Heh heh. My name, my name is Billy.

Bridge of Sighs (tease - Jeff is doodling the intro while Billy begins to talk)
BC: Well, that’s the end of the concert, thank you so much. We’re too tired, we wanna go home. We’ve got to leave now because the.... (crowd yelling cuts him off) Listen...the traffic is so bad in Lima, it’s gonna take us like four hours to get home. Who the fuck is driving those cars, my god! I can’t believe you’re here, did you have to leave like yesterday to get here? Go on green now. Thank you so much for coming, we love you all, love you very much. To all the Smashing Pumpkins fans that have waited all these years, thank you so much. We hope it’s not 20 more years, yeah? Okay, I’d like to play a nice sad song for you now. Do you like sad songs? This is a really sad song. You know, when I went over there to do my solo moment (pointing towards side of the stage), there was a guy, his girlfriend was yelling at him over there. She was just totally giving him the business over there and he didn’t--he was just like doing the head shake like “No, babe, no” and she was just like (frantically waving his index finger) “duddaduh duddaduh daddaduh duh.” And I’m playing the solo and I’m looking at them, they’re not even...they’re not even there. You know what that’s like, Jeff? Have you ever had that happen?
Jeff: Every day of my life, every fucking day.
BC: Haha. This song is for all the beautiful women here. To all the mommies and the lovers, thank you very much. We got any mommies here? Thank you for having my baby, thank you. I’ve got a hundred and 47 children here. It’s amazing. They’re all named Billy though, it keeps it really simple. (pointing into the crowd) You wanna have my baby? It’s okay, I’ll see you later. Heh, okay, here’s a new song, it’s called Spangled.
