• January 9, 1997 was David Bowie's 50th Birthday Party. Billy Corgan played guitar and sang two songs with Bowie and his band during the show's second encore. Other guests during the show included Frank Black, Foo Fighters, Robert Smith, Sonic Youth and Lou Reed. The two songs were encapsulated the unofficial, promotional 7" Live NYC 1997.

Bowie: For those of you that have come and seen me so often so many years, it's been a fantastic ride, thank you very much, and for those of you that have maybe just found my music...I don't know where I'm going from here but I promise I won't bore you, (laughing) okay?
