Billy Corgan in Smashing Pumpkins was disappointed after the first Stockholm gig
The first time they were here, Smashing Pumpkins played to 50 bored people who stood with their arms crossed.
Then frontman Billy Corgan made a promise:
- I called our manager and said "we will never play in Sweden again", says Billy Corgan, frontman.
Tonight, Smashing Pumpkins play in the Globe's annex.
Billy Corgan , 44, laughs as he tells the story. - The first time we played in Stockholm, I think it was 1992, we played for only 50 people. And it was really very Stockholm with crossed arms, a cold audience and no applause, he says.
